Desert Hot Springs Wind Farm Evaluation

In planning for effective wind-generated energy, it is crucial to understand the existing conditions of potential sites. Catadon Systems, Inc. was a small firm based in Encinitas, CA. that identifies such sites for development.

In order to assess potential for several areas in Desert Hot Spring, CA., I used AWS Wind Navigator and Google Earth software. To verify the accuracy of the data and understand potential for substation connection, I also coordinated with contacts at Southern California Edison.
